Grinding is quicker and far less destructive than digging a stump out. The grinder chews the stump and major surface roots into mulch, leaving a hole you can fill and turf the same week.

Narrow-access grinders fit through gates around 750 mm wide, which covers most Hills District side passages. For stumps in open areas, larger machines make short work of big stumps.

Price guide

Single small stumps from around $150. Most residential stumps $200 to $500. Multiple stumps priced per job. Every job is quoted on site at a fixed price.

Questions about stump grinding

Can you grind a stump left by another company?

Yes. Stump-only jobs are common.

Will the roots regrow?

For most species, no. A few (camphor laurel, some wattles, privet) can sucker from remaining roots and may need follow-up treatment.
